The Rocky Horror Show is the story of two squeaky clean college kids – Brad and his fiancée Janet. When by a twist of fate, their car breaks down outside a creepy mansion whilst on their way to visit their former college professor, they meet the charismatic Dr Frank’n’Furter. "The Rocky Horror Show is an iconic piece of theatre and does not disappoint. The show is entertaining from start to finish with grand musical numbers, stellar choreography and all-round banter from both audience and performers alike. The scenery, costumes and lighting also add to create a dazzling spectacle.
The narrator gives a standout performance and shows an extremely sharp wit when dealing with good natured heckling from the audience. Stephen Webb performing as Frank N Furter gives the show energy that conducts the whole stage to bring together a high energy performance.
The plot remains a bit of a mystery and a few times is reminiscent of pantomime theatre. What really makes the show is the musical set pieces which get everyone on their feet. The audience dancing and singing to popular numbers such as The Time Warp and Sweet Transvestite is what brought the show together and makes it such fun.
If this is your thing, buckle up and enjoy the ride!"
