Theatre REVIEW: Snow White - ★★★★★

A fun and fresh new version of the classic tale, Snow White glides into Chelmsford for our 2024 pantomime with all the ingredients of a perfect family Christmas treat.

When an all too honest Magic Mirror reveals to the Wicked Queen that she is no longer the fairest in the land, an adventure begins where the jealous queen seeks to do away with her competition, the kind and friendly Snow White. Fleeing to a new life deep into the forest, Snow White lives happily until one day she is tempted into eating a poison apple.

Expect back-chatting mirrors, evil stepmothers, kind princes, singalongs, jokes, silliness, a dame and simply put, just a whole forest of fun.

Will friendships and love overcome evil in the end? There’s a strong chance of a thoroughly happy ending, but just in case, make sure you are there.

MIX UP REVIEWS:

Jan (Age 12) - ★★★★1/2

"This was a great pantomime, I really enjoyed it! It was really interactive, and always fun! All the characters did well; Dani Diamond and his mother were hilarious! Snow White and all of the dancers were brilliant, their songs were awesome. The evil queen and her minions were particularly menacing, and the short prince was also great.

The set was interesting; there were multiple curtains and different backgrounds. I personally liked the flying mirror the most!

The music in this show was very entertaining, some of the songs involved the audience singing along. The prince had the best singing voice in my opinion; but Snow White was also great. The dancing was marvellous, there was a group of six actors who were dancing the whole show and they did a very good job of it.

Overall, I think this show is the perfect mix of comedy and action, I would recommend this pantomime to anyone!"
