MIX UP REVIEWS:

Jasmine (Age 15) - ★★★★★

"A tale of first love and its endearing hope. Directed by Satoshi Kon, Millenium Actress smoothly blends the past of Miss Chiyoko Fujiwara- an aging actress- with the movies she has starred in as she reveals her past to two documentarians. The transitions in these scenes are breathtaking (something Kon is particularly known for) as he edits together seemingly unrelated pieces which fit into the wider story.

From paying homage to Japanese cinema throughout the 20th century to its universal themes of love and longing, “Millenium Actress” is a movie everyone should put on their bucket list!"

Stewart - ★★★★★

"A bit of a wild ride this one, a famous elderly woman reaccounts her career as an actress and how the themes for each role she has played has tied into her own life. It's a brilliant concept which plays out in a unique way and you get swept up into this dreamlike cinematic epic tale of searching for a lost love."
