An overworked mother and her daughter do not get along. When they switch bodies, each is forced to adapt to the other's life for one freaky Friday.

Based on Mary Rodgers's 1972 novel of the same name, it is the second remake of the same story, and third installment overall in the Freaky Friday franchise.

The film received largely positive reviews from critics, who praised the performances of Curtis and Lohan.
