Another hilarious and moving novel from David Walliams, number one bestseller and fastest growing children's author in the country.
A story of prejudice and acceptance, funny lists and silly words, this new book has all the hallmarks of David's previous bestsellers.
Our hero Ben is bored beyond belief after he is made to stay at his grandma's house. She's the boringest grandma ever: all she wants to do is to play Scrabble, and eat cabbage soup. But there are two things Ben doesn t know about his grandma.
1) She was once an international jewel thief.
2) All her life, she has been plotting to steal the Crown Jewels, and now she needs Ben's help.

"This is one of my favourite books. I like it because of the thieving and I really like Ben's relationship with his granny. The granny is like our Granty Sheila who has loads of cutlery from planes. She even read some of the book to me and Maddie.
My favourite character is Ben. I give this book 5 stars. I think all kids will enjoy this book."

"A fantastic read! There's a lovely message for kids in here about spending time with your grandparents and appreciating them. As well as plenty of laughs along the way including the parents obsession with a Strictly Come Dancing show. There's a great cameo from a very famous old lady along the way. Prepare yourself for that ending though, worth chatting with the young reader afterwards to discuss the themes. Excellent book!"
