Mix Up Theatre is a Youth Theatre club aimed at evolving and nurturing the imagination and developing the skills of the students as performers and storytellers. Through creative drama and techniques we create brand new pieces of devised theatre

Mix Up Theatre provides a 'mix-up' of all aspects of performance and we have regular one-off workshops from professional companies and practitioners .

We also love a group trip to the theatre!

We're called Mix Up Theatre because we offer a Mix Up of all things theatre! 

 

Our classes aims for each child:

• increase confidence

• have fun

• develop drama skills

• develop storytelling skills

• explore characters

• playing new drama games

• co-operation and team building

• oh, and might as well say it again, have fun!

We will have regular one-off workshops from professional theatre companies and practitioners and the opportunity for discount tickets on performances.

Stewart's drama qualifications include a BA (Hons) degree in Performing Arts from Salford University, Manchester. As well as an HNC in Acting & Performance from The Space, Dundee.

 

Stewart currently works as a freelance theatre practitioner. As well as Mix Up Theatre he regularly runs classes for children and young adults for a number of different companies all over Scotland including Scottish Youth Theatre, The Drama Studio and CELTS. He also runs workshops throughout the summer in Madrid for children learning the English language with Face 2 Face Theatre Company.

Stewart also works regularly as an actor and presenter and has many credits to his work in this field, including tours throughout Italy, Spain and the UK and with productions such as Grease, Robin Hood, Romeo & Juliet and Of Mice and Men.

​

Mix Up Theatre premiered their first performance in Madrid in November 2012 and has been running classes for children and young adults ever since.
